Tournament Rules

The rules for the tournament are best of 5 Conquest Double Elimination. For those unfamiliar with the format, rules are beneath.  You should come prepared with at least 5 decks though. 

General Rules and Exceptions
  • Players may register to play day of from 11:00am - 11:59am. 
  • Registration ends at 12:00. Anyone who does not register before then cannot enter the tournament.  
  • Registrants who have previously registered but have failed to check in before 12:00 forfeit their position in the tournament and will not be able to compete.
  • Tournament Play Begins at 12:15.  
  • In the case of a Disconnect, whomever remains in the game wins the round. 
  • Players have 15 minutes to begin their matches. If they don't, whoever is not available to begin the round will be marked as no show and forfeit their first round. After 30 minutes, whoever is not available forfeits the match. 
Rules for Placement Matches and Quarter Finals (Best of 5): 
  • All matches will be best-of-3. The first player to win 2 games within the match is considered the winner of the match and advances.
  • At the beginning of each match players will declare what classes they are playing. Their opponent gets to ban 1 of those classes leaving the player with 2 decks to play with out of their 3 potential decks. 
  • Players may use new decks at each stage of the event.
  • A player must win one game with each of his two decks to win the match.
  • When a player wins a game, the deck used by the winning player cannot be used for the remainder of the match.
  • The losing player can keep the same deck used or switch to a different one of their choice.
  • Players will be told what classes their opponent has available, but they won’t know which class is picked until both players have picked.
Rules for Semi-Finals and Finals (Best of 5):
  • All matches will be best-of-5. The first player to win 3 games within the match is considered the winner of the match and advances.
  • At the beginning of each match players will declare what classes they are playing. Their opponent gets to ban 1 of those classes leaving the player with 3 decks to play with out of their 4 potential deck
  • Each player must submit decklists from four unique classes prior to each stage of the event. Players may submit new decks prior to each stage of the event.
  • A player must win one game with each of their three decks to win the match.
  • When a player wins a game, the deck used by the winning player cannot be used for the remainder of the match.
  • The losing player can keep the same deck used or switch to a different one of their choice.
  • Players will be told what classes their opponent has available, but they won’t know which class is picked until both players have picked.

We will not have official prizes for those competing, however we will have plenty of stuff to give away through raffles​
